Artist's CommentsThere are three big (double-page) illustrations finished for my thesis presentation and I thought it won't be bad to upload them here  This one is from the story titled "The Iron Wolf", which is a short Polish fairy tale about good lord, who stumbled upon a witch during one of his hunting trips in the woods. She was a mean witch, who destroyed happines once she learned about it, so she's decided to kidnap his long-awaited children - fair twins Jutrzenka and Ranek (eeer... Aurora and Dawn). But not by herself - she's sent her servant, the invincible Iron Wolf, who succeeded in capturing children from a well-guarded castle. A kind stag tried to help the children, but it was devoured - after that the wild horse appeared and managed to save the Jutrzenka and Ranek thanks to gifts it gave to them - a comb which turned to high mountain, a hair-brush which changed to thick forest and a scarf, which turned to lake and finally stopped the Wolf... edit: bigger image's size for a better display + slight color correction ________________________________________ ___ References used: Poser (children) + photo (horse/wolf poses) Photoshop CS + Wacom Intuos 3 |
