Actually I like the fact that its asymmetrical - it makes it much more dynamic. Also it gives a more interesting line for the eye to follow.
The choice to not do too much detail in the raven was a good one IMHO. Too much detail tends to dretract from the choices you make in layout and design unless you're really really awesome at compiling and composing the detail overlay and layout. Personally I'm the type of person where less is more.
